Lockheed Martin Program Management Director - FBM Director of Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance & Controls in Littleton, Colorado
Program Management Director: FBM Director of Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance and Controls. This FBM Director position is responsible for the planning, organization, control, integration, implementation, and execution of the propulsion, ordnance, structures and controls activities as well as production of Solid Rocket Motors for all stages. Provides contract performance and cost control oversight, quality control, MRB response and audit surveillance for Orbital ATK and other subsystem suppliers. Ensures contract negotiations with suppliers are closed effectively to allow contract funding and execution and works closely with Subcontractor Senior Management and the U.S. Navy customer to ensure strong communications, trust, and understanding between all parties for successful execution of all FBM contract efforts. Plans, directs and executes the predictive Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) aging program and system safety. Supports the generation of a long-range plan for post D5 Life Extension production and continuous production of energetics (Boost Propulsion and PBCS) and enhances Propulsion Industrial Base status to support future D5 needs, including the development of Life Extension 2 Strategic Plan for RDT&E investment in critical components, technologies and advanced solutions.
Total subcontract value responsibility approximately $194M (approximately $130M OATK contract).
This organization will be structured with 3 Senior Managers, with associated Managers and Associate Managers.
Basic Qualifications *Minimum of 10 years of program/project management leadership experience. This experience must include at least five years of successfully leading other senior leaders in the direct delivery of products to the customer. *Must have experience leading personnel who lead the design, development, sustainment, production and evolution of Ordnance & Propulsion Products, ensuring strategy alignment and adherence to the make, procure and delivery processes. *Must demonstrate leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives of Shaping the Future, Building Effective Relationships, Energizing the Team, Delivering Results and Modeling Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability. *The candidate must possess strong leadership, organization and decision making skills. *Must be an excellent communicator, both with interpersonal interfaces as well as in large presentation forums. *Familiarity and experience with a functional management organization construct. *Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong, effective and intimate relationships with customer counterparts to effect truly collaborative outcomes. *Interim Secret level security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret *Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related science, or equivalent *Position will be located in Denver, Colorado with frequent travel to east coast and west coast (up to 2 trips per month) *Demonstrated ability to lead a geographically distributed team *This position is part of the Reshaping FBM effort. It will initially require frequent travel and TDY to Sunnyvale, CA.
