Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Staff in Littleton, Colorado
This is a Production Lead (PL) position in a specialty item production area. The Production Lead has the primary responsibility of working with the Program Office to establish and manage a Production Operations Directive (POD). During the bid and proposal phase of the program the Production Lead coordinates the Manufacturing Centers, MRP, Test and Procurement Groups as necessary and provides cost and schedule quotes to the program. The POD becomes the governing document between the program and Production Center and establishes budget and baseline control to perform work for the program. The Production Lead will be responsible for pushing program hardware through the production and test process and delivering the product to the program on schedule and to a budget outlined in the POD. The PL is responsible to manage and report in accordance with the Earned Value Management process to upper management and the program. Production may include and is not limited to: welding, brazing, bonding, solar array fabrication, laser activities, composites, electronic board fabrication, machining activities electronic box fabrication, mechanical assembly activities and testing of all products. The Project Engineer in this position must have flexibility to support non-standard shift as required by organization.
Basic Qualifications The Production Lead position requires a combination of Business and Engineering knowledge of a particular product such that it requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education(a masters is preferred) in an engineering discipline with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority. Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Power Point, be able to work independently, and possess demonstrated organizational and leadership skills. Candidate must have experience organizing and/or optimizing shop floor product & process flow in a manufacturing environment.
Desired skills Financial Analyst, Pricing Estimating, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Fabrication, Operations, and Earned Value Management experienced.
