Lockheed Martin Protocol Officer / Events Manager in Littleton, Colorado

Works across all Space Systems Company (SSC) lines of business to provide consistent protocol guidance and support. Responsible for agenda development, logistics, ITAR, Legal, Ethics, and Hospitality approvals for high level DoD, Government, Commercial, and Foreign National guests. Participates in planning, coordinating, overseeing protocol aspects of conferences and special events to include sequence of events, attendee registration, transportation, and lodging. Plan and execute conference attendance and associated customer meetings, to include briefing attendees and setting expectations on special events including: customer dinners, receptions, launch events, and customer visits. Interface with SSC Executive Leadership Team and Executive Vice President. Provide back-up support to team members on their large events. Proven ability to handle multiple events concurrently, remain calm in high-pressure situations, manage time efficiently, work in a team environment, and communicate courteously and effectively with all individuals.

Basic Qualifications • Organized with an ability to manage calendars and schedules • Detail oriented with little leadership guidance • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Roughly 5-10 years of protocol and/or event management experience • Ability to travel (1-3 times per year) and work occasional overtime as needed • Experience in customer visits to include tours and specific product information • Ability to attain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired skills • Knowledge of Government Relations & International Protocols (knowledge of customs and courtesies) • Expertise in International Travel including: customs, Immigration, Visas, currencies, transportation • Second Language • Certified protocol training and/or Certified Meeting Manager • Experience in event planning and meeting production • Experience with government customers including NASA. • Direct experience working with customers from the Middle East North Africa, Asia and South America • TS/SCI Clearance
