Lockheed Martin Senior Software Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Software Quality Engineer ensuring that contractual requirements, software standards, hardware standards and Lockheed Martin standards are met. Participate in program level boards and reviews (SRB, CCB, ERB, TRR, etc) as well as peer review activities. Implement software quality plans and procedures for the MSP program with some direction. Conducts software evaluation activities related to software development and conducts hardware installation verifications as directed. Independently evaluate the requirements, design, development, configuration management, builds, documentation, integration, testing and release of deliverable/non-deliverable software and hardware deliveries and installations using established procedures as a guide. Responsibilities include applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, programming experience, information processing techniques and information gathered from system users, to enhance the level of SQE technical reviews of software products and processes.

Basic Qualifications - 1-4 years prior hardware or program quality engineering experience and ability to thoroughly and promptly evaluate hardware products (against industry standards and/or company command media) in a high tempo operational environment. - Ability to support multiple activities and tasks - Demonstrated capability to prepare and support presentation of materials at various program boards/reviews (e.g., PMR, CDR, PDR, TRR, ERB, CCB, SRB) - CS or equivalent technical/engineering degree plus 2 years of professional experience or a related Masters degree with no professional experience - Working knowledge of C/C++ and/or other programming/scripting languages - Demonstrated ability to evaluate software products (e.g., software requirements, design, code, test) - Demonstrated ability to evaluate software processes (e.g., planning, requirements development, SCM, risk management, test, FQT) - Software audit and/or assessment experience - Ability to review and update program level quality documentation - Knowledge of CMMI and/or AS9100 - Demonstrated communication skills (both verbal and written) - Solid interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team (building effective relationships, team player, delivering results, successful interactions with customers) - Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office products - Self-starter and demonstrated ability to set priorities and complete multiple tasks - Willingness to learn - Ability to work 24/7 tasks when required - Daily work location is at customer site in Denver area -Candidate must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance or be able to obtain one

Desired skills - Certified software quality engineer, ASQ certification - Database experience - Experience with software development environments (e.g., UNIX, Windows, Rational, CASE tools) - Software configuration/build tools (e.g., Synergy, ClearCase) - Problem solving experience - Root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action familiarity
