• The candidate will work on the Military Support Program (MSP) Space Vehicle Simulator team. • In this position you will be responsible for - Develop new SVS software and tools - Troubleshoot problems as they arise and perform software maintenance - Integrate SVS software and MSP flight and ground software to support program test - Provide a confident, knowledgeable interface to SVS users and answer technical questions as they arise

Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or mathematics • 1+ years experience programming C/C++ • Experience programming Python • Familiarity with Linux • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills • Experience modeling and/or documenting software • Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team environment
Desired skills • Experience developing software for hard or firm real-time systems • Understanding of spacecraft systems • Experience maintaining software for operational systems • Experience collaborating with a team using Continuous Integration practices and a distributed version control system • Experience developing software unit tests and using unit test frameworks • Experience with Python/C++ binding • Experience with event-driven programming • Proven ability to learn in a dynamic environment and flexibility to adjust to changing situations • Proven ability to work independently on complex problems • Excellent customer service, organizational, problem solving skills
