Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Senior in Littleton, Colorado

This position is located in Denver and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Software Engineer Senior. position supports the Weapon Systems Engineering and Integration (WSEIT) Integrated Product Team (IPT) by supporting the Software Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will be knowledgeable in Software processes including Software Estimation and Software Metrics including use of SEER-SEM cost estimation/cost modeling tool. This individual is responsible for defining and deploying an integrated software measurements system (database, etc.) and integrating it with the estimation process in support of the Weapon Systems Engineering and Integration component.

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated software system engineering skills. Experience with the complete flight software life cycle including proposals, requirements development, architecture/design, component interfacing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, qualification testing, documentation, configuration management, delivery, maintenance, and operational support. Experience or familiarity with flight software components including bootstrap, command, telemetry, 1553 data bus, attitude determination and control, power, thermal, fault management, payload interface, executive, real-time operating system, and flight computer hardware interface. Experience or familiarity implementing or using spacecraft bus flight software development environments, hardware-in-the-loop testbeds, all-software dynamic spacecraft simulators, and flight processor emulators. Experience or familiarity with C++ software development for real-time embedded systems. Spacecraft experience covering both commercial programs and government programs. Technical leadership experience. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ensures software standards are met.

Desired skills Good communication skills in presenting and writing, Good inter-personal skills working in a team environment. Understanding of software estimation and metrics as they relate to avionics and software systems; Recent experience with SMD programs and customers.
