Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Staff TS/SCI Littleton, CO in Littleton, Colorado
Real-time, embedded Flight Software Engineer Technical Lead supporting program and IRAD tasks Duties require SW requirements analysis, SW design, and SW development and test Flight Bus software, and Flight Payload software within the Advanced Mission Studies (AMS) and Space Protection (SPP) group.
The candidate will lead a small development team and support the development and testing of Flight Software (FSW). The FSW development consists of development of SW modules that execute on a Power-PC architecture. The SW development includes the integration of auto-generated code into the embedded C/C++ code. The candidate will work with the FSW CPE and help the FSW team in the FSW development. The candidate must have experience in AGILE development, and in particular, the SCRUM process. In addition to leading the team, the candidate must also have the technical abilities to perform the required development tasks. The candidate must be familiar with embedded software and spacecraft development.
Candidate will be supporting the delivery of the software products for each of the Program phases to include Requirement specifications, Design artifacts, and Code & Unit Test artifacts. Candidate will also support the Integrated testing, within the agile process.
The software tools used during the development include IBM DOORS (SW Requirements), IBM Rhapsody (SW Design), Workbench (SW IDE), VxWorks (RTOS), Git (SW CM), Redmine (SW Issues), Jenkins (Nightly regression testing), and IRON Python (Test scripts).
The AMS projects are fast-paced environments. The candidate must be able to work in this type of environment.
Basic Qualifications Candidate must have five years experience with embedded software development using C/C++. Candidate must have five years experience with the VxWorks RTOS. Candidate must have experience with developing the SW artifacts required throughout the SW development phases. Candidate must have experience working on a spacecraft program.
Candidate must have a current Top Secret security clearance.
Desired skills Desired candidate should have experience with the SCRUM AGILE process. Desired candidate should have experience in leading a small technical team. Desired candidate should have experience with the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink.Klocwork, GIT, Jenkins, IBM Doors, and IBM Rhapsody (SysML, UML)
