Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Sr in Littleton, Colorado

Support classified systems engineering efforts in the C2 Ground/Dogpatch business area. Develop mission analysis and CONOPS. Develop and analyze requirements. Support architecture definition, design, test, and field support activities through full system life-cycle. Support Technical Training of Operational/Technical and Maintenance Support Training Manuals for use by end customer. Create technical training plans and perform training classroom instruction of mission operation.

The C2 Systems business area supports multiple programs and additional study and IRAD efforts. C2 Systems develops highly reliable shelterized and fixed facility command and control systems. These systems demand integration of high-end COTS and custom hardware, interfacing to complex communications systems, and support demanding environmental conditions in fixed-facility and transportable configurations. The candidate must be able to facilitate requirements definition across these diverse disciplines, working closely with the design teams responsible for software, electrical, mechanical, and support activities. Develop mission analysis and CONOPS. Develop and analyze requirements. Support architecture definition, design, test, and field support activities through full system life-cycle.

Duties may include but not limited to: coordinating, planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plan and formulate engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Maintain manuals and maintain/conduct training for complex operational systems. These tasks include but are not limited to: editing existing content in synchronization with system updates to software, hardware, installation/configuration, and particularly human machine interfaces, operational impacts, and scenarios. In addition to maintenance, content creation is required for system enhancements or major changes. Build and maintain a robust knowledge of the system to support the ability to perform maintenance and creation of content. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), who will provide advisory and review support, to ensure that content is accurate, relevant, and complete. Consistently monitor in-work changes to the system and assess for impact to manuals or training. Work with customer and user community to continuously refine content and approach to best suit user needs in the field. As an instructor, conduct training with user community ranging from overview material to in-depth advanced courses acting as the primary source of information on each topic presented. Work with SME’s for support on training as needed. Candidate must possess good verbal and written communications skills. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications - Must have excellent training skills - Designs, develops, and delivers programs training to all levels of personnel. - Develops training material and visual aids - A solid understanding of Systems Engineering designs and user needs and operations. - Must be able to interpret designs and architecture into Training Material. - A solid understanding of the system lifecycle process for complex systems - Previous experience working on large scale networked systems - Understanding of the Decision Analysis Process and performing trade studies - Program Milestone review and support - Proven drive and initiative - Microsoft Tools Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio) - Develops new courses and conducts formal professional training.
