Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Stf in Littleton, Colorado
This position is in support of a pending confidential program that is anticipated to be awarded Summer 2017.Responsible for the design and development of the Electrical Power Subsystems (EPS) for a spacecraft. This individual will lead the system and power box component requirements definitions, participate in topology trade studies, architect the power system, and be responsible for documentation/traceability of system requirements. This individual will work across the program to determine power needs and design a regulated and controlled subsystem that will meet both bus and payload requirements by providing a multi-voltage regulated power system. He/she will also conduct EPS related trade studies targeted at reducing cost while maintaining performance, along with EPS dynamics analyses, energy balance analyses, and fuse documentation and dissipation analyses. Person filling position will support failure investigation processes or similar, Material Review Board processing, discrepancy documentation and resolution. Candidate must be willing to technically understand the components used within the subsystem and work to deliver them to integration and test in a timely fashion, as well as take an active role in troubleshooting any issues with components delivered.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college, Master's degree in electrical engineering is a plus. Minimum 12 years experience developing high power, high reliabiliity systems for spacecraft, aircraft, automotive or similar complex systems. General systems engineering knowledge Excellent presentation, oral and written skills Demonstrated ability to act independently Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills PSPICE, Saber or other electronics and systems Simulation Tool Experience
Desired skills TS/SCI security clearance EMI/EMC Design and Test Experience Master's degree in electrical engineering. Ability to produce and present informal / formal status briefings to Program Management and Customer. Experienced with working in geographically diverse teams and interfacing with industry partners/subcontractors. Experience with using Li Ion batteries in a power system. Design for survivability, thermal analysis, mechanical shock and vibration, materials for space flight or other materials background.
