Lockheed Martin Training & Development Consultant in Littleton, Colorado

This SSC client facing position functions as an instructional designer for the SSC Learning and Development group.

Consults with clients to gather learning requirements to ensure that learning deliverables lead to intended performance related objectives. Applies expert knowledge of adult learning theory (ADDIE, SAM, Knowles, Kolb, Kirkpatrick, Edgar Dale) principles to design learning solutions for high impact, enterprise level projects in primarily web-based delivery modes such as eLearning courses, micro-learning videos, and webinars.

Works on multiple projects simultaneously, producing high quality work in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Review courseware for instructional effectiveness, usability and overall quality. Consider feedback from end users and subject matter experts and implement strategies to improve courseware.

Basic Qualifications Quantifiable success conducting eLearning needs assessments, requirements gathering, and consulting efforts with internal client stakeholders to ensure targeted performance objectives are achieved through training.

Demonstrated aptitude partnering with clients and stakeholders to form lasting relationships at all levels, including senior leadership, individual contributors, and subject matter experts. Experienced in building and growing relationships across organizational levels and with other business areas.

Advanced business acumen skills are required to balance instructional design and customer expectations with budget and schedule requirements. Ability to build the credibility needed to push back when necessary during client interactions while balancing the best training strategy for the client, Learning team, and the company as a whole.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning theories, reusable content strategies, instructional design models, and user-centered learning methodologies.

Experience developing and managing schedules and budgets for e-learning course projects.

Desired skills Experience developing eLearning assets in software such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate Storyline.

Highly experienced working in a multidisciplinary matrix team environment (Project Managers, Multimedia Developers, Quality Assurance, Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Instructors).

Outstanding ability to partner, influence, communicate, and work effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders, including technical engineers.

Advanced degree in in a related field of study (Instructional System Design, Instructional Technology, Organizational Performance, Workplace Learning, etc.)
