Perform work load planning to allocate resources to meet schedule requirements. Monitor and provide feedback to subordinate employees on their performance. Lead their teams to meet the Operations Excellence goals for Cost, Quality, Schedule, 6S, Continuous Improvement and Safety. Will use Six Sigma as a daily (improvement) tool. Will drive flow and visual factory elements within area and champion a lean environment. Will maintain a detailed skills matrix from which training needs can be determined and plans created. Interface appropriately to develop team and keep discipline to task. Communication of short range plans, initiatives, policies and procedure. Collaborate within the team, share and implement common tools/processes. Collaborate with other functions (manufacturing engineering, manufacturing program managers, Quality) to resolve and communicate daily progress and recovery plan toward goals of Quality, Cost, Schedule. Will perform basic administrative tasks such as attendance verification and payroll interfacing, internal business based training coordination, 'tool' provision and control, and communication forwards and backwards as the first line manager in the assigned area(s) May lead inspectors, assemblers, or testers

Basic Qualifications Able to work independently Self directed Basic computer tool experience Requires excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner. Work force planning experience. Must have good conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful working relationships. Demonstrate a consistent record of high performance with the ability to accept responsibility, exercise authority and be held accountable for assigned tasks.

Desired skills Lean training, 6sigma or Lockheed GB/BB trained. Uses 6S as a tool for running the assigned area of responsibility. team builder Union environment supervisory experience. SAP exposure. Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supervising hourly bargaining unit associates.

Demonstrated history of progressively more responsible roles desired.
