Flying Squadron Contract Scheduler (FSCS) will interface with the Academic Training Center (ATC) and the flying squadron to facilitate pilot student throughput. Scheduler will work with the Training Management System (TMS) and Graduate Training Information Management System (GTIMS) to schedule instructors, students and resources, including classroom, ATC training devices and flying sorties to support pilot training. Schedulers will coordinate with staff agencies to schedule airspace, tanker and other support assets. Tasks include processing, tracking, documenting, scheduling and generating routine reports. Schedulers will flow the weekly schedules and develop two and three week scheduling shells in support of student throughput. Schedulers will be assigned to duties in the Flying Squadron and must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet squadron flying window requirements. Schedulers will be expected to be proficient in the use of the F-35 Training Management System and/or local computerized scheduling programs in use. Schedulers provide training, orientation and assistance to newly hired personnel as required. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed.
Must be willing to travel, to include Squadron CONUS/OCONUS deployments for extended periods depending on operational needs. Position may require the ability to perform in an arduous duty environment and subject to all applicable U.S. Government requirements. A detailed list of these requirements will be available at the time of interview and employment will be contingent on agreement and compliance with such requirements.
Basic Qualifications Candidate must have prior scheduling experience with a military flight training program and be familiar with syllabus-based training. Prior training management system experience is required. Candidate must show evidence of having worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature. Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication abilities, solid ability to organize and work independently, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction. Must be capable of attaining a SECRET clearance.
Desired skills Previous experience using the F-35 Training Management System, Learning Management System and working knowledge of the F-35 syllabus. Previous experience in scheduling basic and advanced fighter training programs. Previous military service is a plus. Bachelors’ degree desired.
