Lockheed Martin Mfg Support Team Member in Marietta, Georgia
The selected candidate will assist in all phases of the Manufacturing process, but not limited to, producibilty issues, root cause/corrective action, and technical problem solution. Will develop new methods and implement existing methods for non-conformance feedback to points of origin. Will work to reduce scrap, rework, and repair costs across multiple work locations. Will interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and Industrial Engineering as needed to define critical critical assembly sequence and integrate changes into production schedule. Will assist supervisor/manager with day to day operation of assigned area. Provide assistance as needed to help the shop floor supervisor and manager. Provide technical assistance to the mechanics through on-the-job training and hands on guidance. Will determine corrective actions and improvements to save cost. Assist and stand in for supervision as needed. Help manage cost and schedule metrics as required. This role may be required to support different shifts as business needs dictate.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications - Aircraft structural assembly experience - Technical experience in resolving engineering, planning, tooling and assembly problems - Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action experience - Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired skills - Proven Project Lead on Affordability/Producibility Projects Experience in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement opportunities
- Experience with Elapsed Time Generator (ETG), SFM, QADS, MyLearning Management System, EVMS understanding, SAP navigation, VAS, PDM and cost management skills, Industrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Ability to work individually and within a teaming environment Strong communication skills among peers and through different levels of management.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication for interfacing with technical support team, build team and internal/external customers Pervious F-35 build experience desired
