Lockheed Martin Aircraft Technician Assistant Intern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Derco Repair Services, Inc., located in Milwaukee, WI is seeking high school students to assist our repair shop technicians on a part time basis. Derco Repair Services, Inc., a certified FAA Repair Station (#NK5R070N), specializes in the repair and overhaul of a diversified range of aircraft accessories and components. Factory-trained specialists repair and overhaul over 300 types of civil and military aircraft components and accessories for Boeing, Airbus, Boeing-Douglas, Lockheed and Sikorsky aircraft etc. Due to growth we have Technician Assistant Intern openings in the shop. Our facility is state-of-the-art where our bench technicians work in a clean, safe environment with opportunities to grow and learn new skills. Duties include disassembling, cleaning and potentially inspecting aerospace components.

These positions are part time and the hours need to be worked during a first shift timeframe.

Basic Qualifications We are seeking people that are of age 16 or older with a mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

If you are hired you will be performing an important safety-sensitive job covered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) these regulations require that you participate in a alcohol and drug testing program for the following drugs: Marijuana - Opiates - Cocaine -Amphetamines – Phencyclidine – MDA (methylenedioxyamphetamine) – Heroin (6-Acetylmorphine) - or a metabolite of these drugs.

Desired skills Automotive and small engine shop class experience is a plus.
