Candidate should have demonstrated relevant experience and career aspirations in systems engineering, with a focus on development, integration and test of software middleware solutions that provide common data collection, distribution, warehousing, analytics, system availability and cyber services.
Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics or equivalent.
Ability to work in a team environment. Familiarity with computer architectures and algorithm development. Strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A security clearance is required for this position.
Travel may occasionally be required
Desired skills Proficient in the use/working knowledge of Unix / Linux Environments. Understanding of modern software design principles. Ability to formally document software designs, models and requirements. Ability to perform computer-off-the-shelf (COTS) software trade studies. Ability to install software products in a lab and ship environments. Ability to integrate and troubleshoot software products, using debugging tools and techniques in both desktop and lab environments. Ability to develop and execute formal software test plans and procedures for requirements verification in both desktop and lab environments. Ability to develop software test drivers using Ada, C/C++ and Java software. Understanding of network programming principles and protocols. Understanding of data collection and warehousing principles, practices and tools. Understanding of Cybersecurity principles such as Security Fundamentals, Networking, Network Security, OS Security, Secure Coding Practices. Understanding of data analytics principles, practices and tools. Understanding of real-time programming principles.
