The interested candidate needs to be motivated to protect Lockheed Martin’s assets, including but not limited to computers, networks, programs and data, from unwanted cyber attacks. Positions include hands-on in-lab experience working with the latest advances in the protection of network and computer technologies. Our Security Architecture group sets and enforces the security policy put in place by our customers. They are also responsible for the identification and mitigation of all vulnerabilities found during system testing.
Candidate should have demonstrated accomplishments and career aspiration in the area of systems engineering. Candidate should have hands on experience with network and computer technologies and familiarity with PC and workstation design tools and environments used for system and subsystem engineering. Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills are desired. .
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is REQUIRED. Preferred candidate will hold Security+ and OS certifications. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Candidate will have aspirations to research and coordinate the implementation of vulnerability mitigations/remediations (identified via ACAS and STIG/SCAP assessments) with subject matter experts/system administrators; document/update POA&M of system weaknesses and generate required reports and artifacts for DSS/DISA classified programs, as required. Candidate may also contribute toward required eMASS documentation including SIP, Implementation Plan, IAC Inheritance, Risk Assessment Report (RAR), PPSM Registration (if required) and POA&M.
Pursuit of Type of Degree: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent. Demonstrated potential to work in a team environment
Basic Qualifications Pursuit of Type of Degree: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent. Demonstrated potential to work in a team environment. Familiarity with computer architectures and algorithm development for a range of system/subsystem applications. Strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A security clearance is required for this position.
Desired skills Proficient in the use/working knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows Server, Python, Visual Basic, and Bash. Prior coursework in Cybersecurity such as Security Fundamentals, Networking, Network Security, OS Security, or Forensic Security. Security+ certification.
