Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Staff / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

AGMS Launcher IPT/Team Lead. This position requires the candidate to provide multi-functional support to Production Operations in Ocala and Orlando. Candidate will manage/engage Production Operations sites, subcontractors and vendors to support Internal Operations Plan (IOP). Position requires the candidate to effectively engage corrective action boards (CAB), production status reviews (PSR), failure review boards (FRB), and affordability/improvement initiatives. Candidate success factors include improved yields, reduced tag count/aging, safety stock, and minimizing defects overall. This position requires frequent contact with various personnel on program and at the manufacturing sites (Orlando, Ocala, and Troy). Candidate will have the ability to proactively identify Risks and Opportunities, develop workarounds, develop recovery plans and present to program and operations management. Candidate will support proposal activities throughout all production and development activities. Candidate will be required to travel (1-2 weeks/month) to the various manufacturing sites and suppliers on an as-needed basis.

Basic Qualifications -Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/Electrical/Industrial) or related discipline. -Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the areas of manufacturing and testing.  -Strong interpersonal and leadership/management skills with excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with senior program leadership, Air Force Customer leadership, and functional leadership and within a virtual team environment.  -FSL competencies.

Desired skills It is desired that the candidate have an in depth technical knowledge of manufacturing, production processes plus the oversight of capital planning and acquisition, yield improvement activities, test equipment, tooling, make/buy development, change control, failure analysis (trouble-shooting), process controls, and support of product quality/reliability on an as needed basis. Additionally, the candidate will interface with Program engineers to insure producibliity and drive cost savings opportunities (affordability).
