Lockheed Martin MBDA Architecture Expert - Integration and Test Engineer in Orlando, Florida

Architecture Expert to be seconded to MBDA-Germany for 24 months supporting the following tasks: - Finalize and release the System Architecture Description document giving a high level white and black box description of the TLVS System based on the MEADS System Architecture. - Maintain the document by incorporating design changes and assuring that it is an accurate description of the System as built. - Provide System Architecture Expert knowledge to support the customer and subcontractors during design decisions and technical evaluations. - Provide System Architecture Expert knowledge to review Change Request documentation. - Transfer the MEADS architecture model to a TLVS architecture model considering the model based system engineering process using the same modeling tool used by MEADS. - Update the MEADS based Architecture Description Document (MADD) for TLVS (TADD) including description of interaction between tactical MEIs as well as interactions between tactical MEIs and STE (e.g. TSS-M).

-Position will be in Orlando initially, then transferred to MBDA-Germany.

-This position is contingent on contract award.


Basic Qualifications - Candidate should have extensive knowledge of modern air and missile defense systems.

-Candidate must be an advanced user of Rational Rose Modeling Tools and capable of creating Use Cases and detailed Use diagrams.

  • The candidate must be able to support system interface requirements analyses (UML system architecture/interface analyses) and the resulting development and maintenance of the System Interface Specification (IFS) and System ICD documents.

  • Candidate must be familiar with command, control, time synchronization, launcher/missile/radar control algorithms and AMD timelines.

  • Demonstrated Integration and Test experience in the full system development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated skill generating high-quality test plans, procedures and requirements.

  • Formal field testing experience on complex programs.

  • Current Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years is required.

Desired skills - Prior experience as a integrator for programs with aggressive schedules in a dynamic customer environment.

  • Prior experience presenting at Senior Management and Customer technical/readiness reviews (Mission Success, TRR, FRR)

  • Engineer with solid communication, technical and teamwork skills.

  • Experience with hardware/software integration in both lab and field environment

  • Demonstrated experience with working with or executing formal test events on Test Ranges

  • At least conversational fluency in the German language is desired.
