This position is a member of the Missiles and Fire Control IT Outreach and Applications Architecture teams. Self-driven, creative, and design-oriented individual who can prioritize the IT user experience (UX) and can effectively communicate technical processes to nontechnical employees. Passion for technology and how it impacts the workplace. Oversee the implementation of the internal IT brand and a consistent and rewarding user experience for consumers of IT services. The role will have the following responsibilities: • Content creation and management for major internal communication vehicles (websites, PowerPoint templates, CCTV ads, newsletters, apps, etc.) • Support development and execution of marketing and engagement strategies that align with MFC and Lockheed Martin goals and objectives • Education of application teams on UX best practices and toolsets and collaboration with other UX professionals throughout the corporation on defining and leveraging those best practices and toolsets • Consultation with internal customers to design and mature highly effective user interfaces and overall user experience to emphasize simplicity, functionality, ease-of-use and alignment to internal branding and identity • Working closely with IT leadership, business partners, communications, graphics, and other teams across MFC and Lockheed Martin • Partnering with MFC and Corporate Communications teams to integrate appropriate internal messaging/strategy into employee engagement activities and adhere to Lockheed Martin branding guidelines • Identifying and leverage new technologies to provide employees with information in creative and innovative ways • A strong eye for branding, design, and user experience is required, as is the ability to work well with a virtual team
Basic Qualifications • Problem solving skills and the ability to take command of projects, driving them to completion quickly and efficiently • Demonstrated self-starter who takes the initiative and will bring forward new ideas and concepts, even if they may be against the status quo • Ability to multitask on projects requiring broad skill sets while maintaining high standards of work on a tight schedule in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities • Ability to work in a virtual, team-focused environment with a high number of inter-dependencies • Exceptional writing and editing skills • Ability to clearly articulate and communicate technical topics to nontechnical audiences • Ability to create and build upon organizational and product brand identity • Professional experience with leveraging UX principles and tools to solicit feedback from user populations and improve the overall usability of software applications • Must possess a unique blend of creative, process and technical thinking skills with full understanding of the digital channels of marketing • Solid knowledge and application of digital media, marketing operations, and application design • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and relationship skills • Excellent proofreading skills and experience using AP and/or CMS guidelines
