Lockheed Martin Project Engineering Manager / Logistics & Sustainment / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

This position is contingent upon a future contract award (expected in Q4 of 2017) supporting a Missiles & Fire Control program within the Engineering & Technology function, as well as Customer funding for this position.

Logistics and Sustainment Engineering (LSE) Manager, responsible for ensuring that LSE efforts for the system support all reliability, maintainability, testability, safety, configuration management, storage and handling, disposal, and life cycle cost (LCC) requirements. The candidate will work with IPT Leads to ensure a thorough understanding and integration of all LSE requirements to provide an integrated, capable, and maintainable system. The candidate will also provide expertise for defining the resources and methodologies necessary to demonstrate capabilities and functions of the system. The LSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that the system LSE design efforts support the capture strategy and support the program in meeting all commitments including technical performance, schedule, and cost along with ensuring customer satisfaction with the system support concept and design.

Basic Qualifications -The ability to support all aspects of the technical efforts associated with the development, fabrication and demonstration of a system solution which complies with all system operation, performance and life-cycle requirements. -The experience, drive, and demonstrated capability to effectively interface with a team of engineers of varying disciplines, and key suppliers to provide technical excellence and mission success. -The ability to collaborate within an integrated technical team as well as critical customer interactions. -Effective task organization and communication skills with a background in systems development and/or, integration, or demonstration, or verification, or subsequent transition to production and field support. -Experience and initiative to ensure technical support is provided to all areas, to keep abreast of technical issues and ensure the right processes are being exercised to drive timely resolution. -Experience in rapid problem resolution in an IPT environment, and establishing technical direction for product capability growth is a must. -Experience/familiarity in dealing with Technical Operations functions included but not limited to Systems, or Software, or Configuration Management, or Mechanical, or Environmental, or Electrical, or Test, or Reliability, or Safety and Logistics. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -The ability to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership. -Proposal experience. -Secret clearance with an investigation in the past five years.

Desired skills -Experience planning technical development efforts, financial and business management, and personnel management. -Experience with Partnerships and Performance Based Logistics (PBL) strategy development and management. -Possess the tenants of Leadership as it will require leadership and collaboration within an integrated technical staff as well as critical customer interactions. -Experience with subcontractors and subcontract technical management. -Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college.
