Lockheed Martin Reliability Engineer Staff / BIT / Testability / Diagnostics / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
This position is contingent upon a future contract award (expected in Q4 of 2017) supporting a Missiles & Fire Control program within the Engineering & Technology function, as well as Customer funding for this position.
Reliability Engineer to execute reliability program, to include reliability allocations, predictions, modeling, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMECA), Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) and support Failure Review Boards (FRBs) for the all system hardware. Engineer shall monitor suppliers in the development and implementation of FRACAS for the system anomalies. Conduct analysis and review of data from system and supplier test failures to identify component failure trends and develop appropriate correction action. Prepare and present at design and program reviews. Assist in developing R&M DRSs and support hardware design activities. Generate and maintain Reliability Growth Curves. Perform reliability testing to include accelerated aging and HALT. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic Qualifications Active Secret Clearance with an investigation with 5 years Strong technical background in the following items: Knowledge of Reliability and Testability Engineering design practices. Experience conducting Reliability efforts and testing and verification to include experience with performing reliability predictions, FMECA (failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis), and fault tree analysis. Experience with reliability FRACAS (failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system) and data mining. Knowledge and experience with statistical concepts and analysis. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings/schematics. Maintainability and Testability/Built-In-Test (BIT) engineering experience Proficient with Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships Excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups. Ability to communicate findings to customers and management. Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with very little or no direction; interacts well with others. Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
Desired skills Bachelors degree. Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology degree. Strong electrical background with a good mechanical understanding. Diagnostic algorithm development – diagnostic tests/procedures to perform fault detection and fault isolation. Practical hands on experience with hardware test and troubleshooting. Familiarity and ability to model systems with US Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA) Reliability Growth Planning, Tracking, and Projection Models
