Lockheed Martin Senior System Safety Engineer / Hazard Analysis / Software Safety / CSP / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

This position is contingent upon a future contract award (expected in Q4 of 2017) supporting a Missiles & Fire Control program within the Engineering & Technology function, as well as Customer funding for this position.

The candidate will review the system, associated support equipment and facilities, functional specifications and operations, and establish safety requirements for the Program. The candidate will independently analyze and recommend safety criteria in system design, equipment and procedures to control or eliminate hazards. The candidate will perform hazard analyses including sub and system hazard analyses, functional hazard analysis, fault tree analyses, bent pin analysis, and software system safety assessment. The candidate will support safety board activities, develop safety documents as required to support customer and test/operational range requirements, and participate in failure review boards, assisting in identification of causes and corrective actions. The candidate will evaluate the interrelationship of system safety requirements and other aspects of concept design and development requirements to ensure the most cost effective program.

Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance. System Safety experience with: -Fault Tree Analysis -Software Safety Assessment -Developing & interpreting System Safety requirements / flow-down requirements -Performing Safety Hazard analyses

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Good oral and written communication skills.

Desired skills -System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Threat Hazard Assessment (THA), bent pin analysis/energy trace, & Flight Test Safety Assessment Reports (SAR). -System Safety Program Plan Development IAW Mil-Std-882. -Software Safety analysis per AMCOM 385-17 and AOP 52. -Experience preparing for U.S Government Safety Review Boards (develop technical data package & presentation). -Missile and/or launcher safety experience. -Active Secret security clearance.
