Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Associate - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
The successful candidate will be required to work with a diverse team and serve as a contributing member to ensuring the successful completion of software development activities aimed to support Lockheed Martin program supply chain logistics operational requirements. Software development activities will include .NET WinForms/WCF desktop client applications, ASP.NET web applications, the C# programming language, and Microsoft SQL Server. The candidate will be required to have a general foundation in system-to-user/external system infrastructure requirements, object-oriented programming, database design, and user interface development in desktop, web, and mobile applications. The candidate will design, develop, document and test software that contains logical and mathematical solutions taking into account project constraints of scope, cost, risk and schedule. Technical fortitude and dedicated focus shall be required for successful code implementations to a large scale logistics/supply chain management system that will interface with multiple external systems in its support of program supply chain logistics operational requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to articulate technical requirements to non-technical customers to ensure understanding of capabilities being developed and released to both internal and external users. As required, the successful candidate will represent the team as a prime technical contact within their discipline throughout all phases of the project life cycles of all supported applications.
Position interacts with personnel on fairly complex technical matters often requiring coordination, collaboration and decisive actions to assure project success with minimum risk. Position develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity while keeping team leads and management informed with status reports, metrics and key milestones.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited university
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Nominal foundation in C#, SQL Server
Nominal experience with Windows Forms (WinForms) and ASP.NET WebForms w/AJAX
Desired skills 3.0 GPA or above
Some experience in defining and managing of software requirements, coding and testing standards, baseline and change control process of product and associated documentation
Ability to implement customer requirements that provide affordable solutions within project constraints (scope, budget, schedule)
Proven ability to participate in a team setting comprised of various skilled software programmers through all phases of the software development lifecycle
Nominal experience with WCF Services, Web Services, and Windows Services
Nominal experience with SQL server database design for software development projects
Nominal experience developing branches of application and database code
Nominal experience developing external system interfaces Experience with Visual Studio .NET 2012 or later, and SQL Server 2008 R2 or later
Experience with software architecture and development of military/DoD applications involving hardware configuration management, repairs, inventory, and transportation
Working knowledge of Logistics Operations and post-delivery activities
