Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Stf in Orlando, Florida

As a Flight Simulations Software Engineering Lead, you will guide a team of software engineers through all phases of an Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit test, integration, and verification in an aeronautics and military flight simulations environment with cutting edge hardware & systems. Our software engineering teams develop and maintain real-time software for high-fidelity flight simulators that train pilots in a combat environment.

The software engineering lead is responsible for: - Release/Sprint planning and backlog generation - Mapping backlog to program earned value and IMS tasks - Managing technical scope of software development efforts - Tracking software metrics (SLOC, productivity, defect tracking) - Generating metrics-based software estimations with documented assumption - Driving successful execution of all software development activities.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Proficiency in software development is also required (C++, Java).

Candidate must have experience capturing software metrics (SLOC, productivity, defect tracking), providing software estimations (SLOC-based), and adhering to software processes, in a flight simulation or related domain environment.

The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. Strong verbal & written communications skills are required. Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills Jira/Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master experience on a flight simulations program is a plus.

Preferred Candidate will have experience with the following skills/technologies: • Atlassian toolset (Jira/Stash/Confluence) • Model Based Engineering • Automation: Software Test Automation and Build Automation • UNIX/LINUX • Object-Oriented Design • Hardware-Software integration of Mission Critical Systems • Architecture knowledge of Flight Simulators
