Production Control - Analyzes all the associated elements of a predefined production schedule, driven by the commitment of supply of the Supply Chain Operations organization. The elements of production control analysis consist of on-time delivery of manufactured subassemblies, as they relate to the overall schedule for top-level assemblies and ultimately on-time delivery to the Customer. This involves micro-management of all portions of the subassembly manufacturing process; from the procurement of components, release of subassemblies, and response to applicable Engineering Changes, up to and including issue to shippable items. The management of subassembly manufacturing is done with a strict regard to a committed, systematic calculation of a schedule of events, whereby, the Analyzer is responsible and accountable to articulate the delta of actual events to the predetermined systematic schedule of events.
The Candidate will work in a SAP MRP system using APICS and Supply Chain Management concepts to execute Production Control based on a predefined plan and schedule, at a micro-level. Must be able to work in a fast pace-environment, and be able to net information to determine the effects of change with regard to the current status of the Program, and the production schedule. Requires an analytical approach to detail, with regard to supply vs. demand, need date vs. commit date, the effects of change, late to release, late receive, etc. Must be able to utilize effective communication; both verbal (spoken and mathematical) and written to present status of components and production to both the Coordinator, and Management. The information and data that is presented by the Analyzer is utilized by the Program Coordinator to assess probability of on-time delivery for both internal Customer deliveries. The Coordinator and Management will also use this information to engage its internal partners if necessary. The candidate will be accountable to operate within all site policies defined by and other internal partners to insure the expected level of quality of product is sustained, and the potential for audit failure is eliminated.
Basic Qualifications SAP Experience or equivalent. Knowledge of MRP Concepts and Inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
Desired skills • 2 year – 4 year degree in business or industrial engineering is desirable and/or demonstrated manufacturing/inventory control experience within a similar work environment • SAP experience in production planning • Knowledge of MRP concepts/systems • APICS certification is desirable. • Potential for security clearance requirements exists
