Lockheed Martin Mult Func HR Rep Asc in Palmdale, California

This role affords a meaningful opportunity to impact the Palmdale site by implementing both Labor Relations (LR) and Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) strategies critical to achieving operational goals of the organization. There is significant collaboration with veteran and high potential Human Resource and Labor Relations practitioners as well as with technical, engineering and production operations clients in support of the development, manufacture, and sustainment of the most sophisticated aircraft programs in the world. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Support the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Line of Business (LOB) by implementing Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) solutions, as well as managing LOB special project requests for the Palmdale site. Advocating for company-wide initiative - Culture of Accountability (CoA); Providing leaders and employees with coaching, consultation, and guidance on the effective management of people, structure, organization effectiveness, resourcing, and relationships; Delivering data-driven people solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible; Owning talent capability to deliver on business performance requirements (right people, right place, right time, right cost). Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements and provide advice and counsel to line management.

Administer employee discipline system.

Consult and partner with first-line, departmental, and directorial leadership to achieve their strategic and tactical plans in a metric-oriented environment.

Manage represented personnel transactions, grievance administration, investigations, and other daily operations of the Palmdale Labor Relations function.

Partner with other organizations including but not limited to HR, Legal, Worker’s Compensation, Health and Wellness, Culture Diversity and EEO, Ethics, and Legal to manage and administer a broad range of HR activities affecting represented employees.

Ensure compliance with policy, NLRB, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other workforce management laws and regulations as they pertain to the represented workforce.

Interface with LM Aero-Palmdale unions.

Basic Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective listening skills.

Demonstrated learning agility.

Demonstrated ability to operate in an ambiguous environment

Ability to build effective relationships and partner with business leaders to influence labor relations practices at Palmdale and off-site locations.

Ability to interact effectively in a conflict environment and provide resolutions.

Desired skills Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or Labor Relations related field.

Familiar with working in a Unionized Environment.

Familiar with grievance procedure administration including settlement negotiations and contribution toward preparation of arbitration presentations.

Demonstrated investigation techniques.
