Lockheed Martin Special Program Manager in Palmdale, California

Selected candidate will be responsible for program strategy, execution, and system development for exportable unmanned air vehicle programs.

The successful candidate must be able to assess export approaches for a family of unmanned aircraft, and tailor the development of program goals and strategies to ensure successful program execution. Deep experience with defense exports, emerging technologies, and a thorough knowledge of unmanned air vehicles and ground systems is a must. A history of customer interface, formulation of program goals, and execution to cost, schedule, and technical objectives is required.

Working knowledge of one or more key technical areas for unmanned air system development is required. The selected candidate will be required to prepare and give briefings to executive LM management across business areas as well as customer leadership. The candidate must possess exceptional people skills and oral/written communication skills. Travel (2-3 trips per month) is required to customer facilities, other LM Aero sites, and LM business units.

Must be a US citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and special program clearances. For this particular position, an active DOD Secret security clearance with program access and a background investigation within the last five years is required.

Position is located in Fort Worth TX or Palmdale CA Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have an Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain higher level clearances as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required

Experience with unmanned air vehicle system use and international application

Experience with advanced unmanned technology exports

Government regulations for air vehicle system export experience

Program management experience for unmanned defense programs

Desired skills

Skunk Works program development experience

Understanding of the technology transition process

Technical experience in one or more of the following: operations analysis, system engineering, software, mission systems integration, aircraft structural development, vehicle systems integration, or low observables
