Lockheed Martin Tool Engineer Senior Staff in Palmdale, California

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in to be a part of a team that will carry on our 70+ year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

Employee will be responsible for leading a tool design team in support of F-35 CS&E projects. This position will be responsible for supporting tooling related activity for the CS&E team to include: designs, technical evaluations, coordinate integration meetings, monitor and answer tooling requests and issues. The individual will support Production Non-recurring (PNR) tooling activities and planning including tool trial runs. He/she will check 2D and 3D tool models to PM-4053 standards. The individual selected will be responsible for providing tooling impact assessments (material cost, schedule, labor hours) in support of engineering change requests and affordability projects.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications Thorough understanding of engineering concepts including design and mechanical. Previous experience in tool design with 10+ years of hands on experience. CATIA V5 experience. Experience working with engineering 2D and 3D modeling. Position will support F-35 Production Engineering and tool design. Must have Project Management and/or Team Lead experience. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills on multiple levels.

Desired skills Polyworks experience Buildit experience Stratys experience Bachelors degree in related discipline with previous tool design experience. Ability to obtain a Final Secret DOD Clearance.
