Lockheed Martin Diversity Wrk Mgt Rep Sr in Rockville, Maryland

This position will support the Director of Diversity and Inclusion to implement the corporate diversity and inclusion strategy, manage relationships with diversity partner organizations, coordinate corporate submissions for awards and surveys, and provide support with internal inclusion based training initiatives. Requires a solid understanding of workplace diversity & inclusion concepts and practices, as well as, cross-cultural competency knowledge. This individual will ensure alignment with the Corporate diversity & inclusion strategy and have experience developing and planning internal events that promote the multicultural competence of our workforce across all employee communities. Aligning the efforts of these groups to Lockheed Martin’s strategic business imperatives is a priority. Will be expected to support and advance the diversity & inclusion framework and strategic goals, working as a catalyst to cultivate a more inclusive work environment. In collaboration with the Director and other members of the Global Diversity & Inclusion organization, this individual will partner with key internal and external stakeholders regarding diversity & inclusion and the full range of issues that impact our client groups, , lead development of strategic and supportive communications related to D&I initiatives around employee engagement, inclusive leadership, and participate in various community activities supporting efforts to engage and retain a diverse talent. This individual will also be responsible for benchmarking best practices within industry, nationally, and globally, conducting value-add analysis and metrics for tracking progress and process improvements.

The ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required. The preferred work location is Rockville, MD, but will consider any other major Lockheed Martin facility.

Basic Qualifications - 4+ years of professional experience in a highly-matrixed, large multinational organization - 4+ years of experience working with indirect, virtual, or matrixed teams globally - 2+ years of experience managing or working directly with employee resource groups and/or diversity councils

Desired skills - Demonstrated active listening, presentation and interpersonal skills - Ability to involve and motivate others in a team environment and foster and gain support of new ideas/initiatives from key stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization - Experience designing, developing, and facilitating diversity & inclusion theory and learning curriculum - Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Project management and event planning experience - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Excellent ability to influence without authority and develop mutually effective relationships with senior leaders, business partners, peers, and external stakeholders to achieve results - Active in the community via professional association memberships and diversity conference participation - Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive documents and information - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
