Lockheed Martin BRP - Zodiac and Wing Inflatables Technician - Watercraft and Outboard Motor Repair in San Diego, California
-BRP, and Wing Inflatables factory authorized technician and repair specialist to conduct depot level repair, complete breakdown and repair of approximately 550 small outboard motors from 15Hp to 300Hp engines. -Inspect, troubleshoot and repair craft IAW applicable manufacturer tech manuals and repair manuals. Repair (18) 8-meter and 11-meter safety support craft and 130 Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts and all accessories, to include aluminum welding. -Inspect, troubleshoot and repair boat trailers in accordance with all applicable manufacturer tech manuals and repair manuals. Conduct trailer bearing removal and replacement for 18 trailers. -Advanced electrical wiring repairs of small craft to include radar installation.
Basic Qualifications -Possess excellent work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, and be detailed and accurate in performing all functions. -Have direct knowledge of installation level and strategic support logistic programs and systems that relate to logistic capability and capacity. -Be able to operate a standalone computer without assistance and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. -Possess a valid, unencumbered state driver’s license. -Be able to drive Government-owned trucks, forklifts and vans. No CDL license required. -Be able to perform duties independently, with minimal oversight. -Outboard Motor Experience
Desired skills -Able to enter data into multiple databases and ensure data is maintained and retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer and vendor inquiries. -Able to compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to the assigned programs. -Able to perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures. -Able to research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or route to appropriate Government personnel with information setting forth research findings. -Able to conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns; assemble retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements; for example, status reports, unmet customer needs, and other similar areas. -Able to analyze the results of applying guidelines to difficult situations and recommend changes. -Able to review existing automated system(s) to determine feasibility for improvement.
