Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance Engineering Manager in Santa Cruz, California
Responsible for ensuring Strategic Missile Defence (SMD) hardware built in-house and at suppliers meet program and enterprise quality requirements. Support program office, manufacturing and engineering with the integration of quality disciplines into their processes and monitor effectiveness. Hardware includes ordnance/explosives.
Basic Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.). -Ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance. -Experience working in a union environment. -Experience with actionable metrics and strong analytical skills and -Demonstrated proficiency in presenting -Firsthand experience with Audits -3 years prior coded leader experience or significant “lead” experience -Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements -Candidate must have experience with forecasting, negotiating and monitoring budgets -Candidate must have experience operating within a structured Quality System i.e. AS9100
Desired skills 10 years L-Coded leadership of represented employees In-depth Knowledge of SMD (FBM and THAAD) practices and processes. Black Belt Trained Prior experience with MRB, Test, Ordnance Production and GFE. Experience interacting with DCMA Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Corrective Action Board Lead SAP/ERP experience, Statistical Process Control (SPC) Have an understanding of mechanical engineering requirements including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Familiarization with Nondestructive Inspection methodologies
