Lockheed Martin Accounting Manager/Controller in Santa Rosa, California
• Directs the Finance and Accounting Functions o Oversees and directs all aspects of the accounting function, general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking and fixed assets. o Manages month-end and year-end closing in an accurate and timely manner, including audit activity. o Supports CEO regarding budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. o Advises and assists with choosing, implementing and maintaining financial systems to maintain effective controls and streamline business processes. o Manages tax compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes. o Assures that business risk is covered through insurance carriers and brokers. o Develops and maintains business relationships with finance and accounting team of corporate owner. o Responsible for financial analysis and reporting. o Conducts project cost analysis and customer pricing and revenue modeling. o Knowledge of government contracting allowable and unallowable cost allocations. o Identifies and directs other projects to improve the operational and financial health of the organization
• Provides Financial Leadership o Serves as financial steward for the business. o Assists President with decisions that affect profitability. o Maintains accountability for driving “measurement of outcomes” throughout the organization to gain accountability for projects and programs. o Maintains high standard of fiscal integrity of the business. o Represents financial position of business internally and to corporate owner in a timely and accurate manner.
Basic Qualifications Experience with preparing financial statements Experience with general ledger processing and the month-end/year end close process
Desired skills Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred 10+ years of progressive experience, with at least 3 years of experience as an accounting manager in a manufacturing environment Strong accounting system experience, Deltek CostPoint or similar project accounting software preferred Working knowledge of FAR and DCAA
