Lockheed Martin Military 24/7 Helpdesk Lead in Shelton, Connecticut
Provide high-level support to the 24/7 Military Service Engineering group in Shelton, CT by conducting research, investigating and resolving technical inquiries, customer engineering requests, and reviewing technical manuals to support the Sikorsky commercial fleet. Candidate will promote the safe and efficient operation of fielded commercial helicopters by providing expert technical advice and assistance to their owners and operators.
Position requires extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of Sikorsky’s commercial products. At least 3 years of experience with H-60 and/or H-53 is required. Candidate must be highly skilled in the interpretation of technical publications, engineering drawings, specifications and other technical data. They must be able to provide technical support and insight to internal customers such as Product Safety, Programs, Material, Analytics & Technology and others as required. Successful candidate will interface with functional engineering on a frequent basis.Other technical duties may be required.
The optimal candidate will have working knowledge of the aircraft operation and design and a deep understanding of root cause / corrective action determination. In addition, the candidate must be trained (provided) and comply with all ITAR/EAR Export laws as they relate to Sikorsky policy on distribution of technical data.
Basic Qualifications Minimum 7 Years hands on Aerospace Experience
Desired skills The candidate should have an A&P Mechanic license with or equivalent applicable Rotary/Sikorsky work experience in the field of customer support, production, or repair and overhaul. Degreed engineers with relevant experience may also apply. The ideal candidate would: Work well both independently and in a team environment Have 3+ years of experience working with both the H-60 and H-53 platforms Be very familiar with aircraft maintenance manual, drawings, and flight operations Have a strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Have experience in working directly with customers Thrive in high pressure environments where timing is important
This job may require support in all shifts in order to support the 24 hour help desk, though primarily first shift. This position will report to the manager of 24/7 Service Engineering.
