Lockheed Martin QA Engineer Sr in Shelton, Connecticut
This position will be the main quality interface for the kit acceptance process with the TUHP customer TAI. This role will require you to be at the North haven XPO facility to work with the TAI quality person on the visual inspection of the kit parts prior to shipment to Turkey. You will assure that the kit parts presented to the customer have all the contract required paperwork and that the part numbers on the parts and quantity match the contract requirements. You will track the quantity of parts presented to the customer and measure the weekly quality trends for part acceptance. You will work with the program team to help assure the quality of the parts in the kits meet the contract requirements
Basic Qualifications Ability to read and interrupt Sikorsky drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of Sikorsky quality system and inspection requirements for Sikorsky fabricated and purchased parts. Understanding of manufacturing bill of material and indentured bills of material. Knowledge of Sikorsky quality system and Supplier quality system.
Desired skills Access to Sikorsky Discrepancy reporting system to perform data searches to find DR data. Experience working with customers on final product buy off. Computer skills using excel, word and power point to create management presentations to reflect monthly work output and report quality trends. Ability to learn new systems to retrieve data from the feedback data sheet file and creation of log cards using an Access data file. Willingness to learn contract review and flow down requirements for international contracts.
