Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Manager in Silverdale, Washington
The Missile Production Manager is responsible for day to day operations and leadership of shift personnel, and is responsible for technical performance of missile production operations and the Process Management Team (PMT). Responsible for ensuring organization goals and production milestones are accomplished on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is responsible for the safe accomplishment of assembly, disassembly, processing, testing and inspection of missile body, missile sections, and missile components. Ensuring personnel adheres to safety, security, quality, high work ethics and a teaming environment within the organization. Participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans and operating budgets with colleagues and Sr. Management. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to Program Plans and Technical Documentation by identifying program problems and developing solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing requirements. Develop and present program information to senior management on as needed basis.
Basic Qualifications -5 years documented leadership experience. -5 years of documented work experience supporting a production/manufacturing environment. -3 years of documented experience managing schedules and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to meet mission objectives. -Documented history of leading a group of exempt (salary) and/or non-exempt (hourly) employees. -Current interim Secret Security Clearance -Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance. -Must be US Citizen
Desired skills -10 years Fleet Ballistic Missile experience or 10 years on a Space Systems Company program. -Ability to create, collect and analyze production metrics in order to make data based decisions. -Understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and experience leading union represented hourly employees. -Familiar SAP systems. -Experience interfacing with other organizations to include Lockheed Martin, Government representatives, associate contractors and other Lockheed Martin sites. - Green belt trained/certified. Proactively drive continuous improvement in the areas of technical competencies, talent, behaviors, cost and performance. -Excellent communication skill with the ability to deliver effective presentations at all levels. -Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. -Must have strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills. -Must have strong commitment to industrial and personnel safety.
