Lockheed Martin Metrologist Asc in Silverdale, Washington

Designs, establishes, analyzes, and revises systems for calibration and repair of electrical and physical/dimensional test and measurement equipment for optimization of accuracy and precision.

Works with technicians, government representatives, Naval calibration entities, commercial vendors, and other Lockheed Martin organizations to resolve technical, procedural, logistical, and material problems with the calibration and repair of Test and Measurement Equipment and associated processes.

Manipulates and maintains the laboratory’s metrology management system

Devises, revises, and maintains information processing applications to manipulate, store and report laboratory measurement data and using Microsoft Office tools.

Devises, plans, creates, analyzes and revises automated calibration applications using commercial programs such as Fluke Metcal

Creates, electronically publishes, analyzes, and revises local calibration procedures and other documentation to Navy standards using Microsoft Word.

Devises, creates, analyzes, and revises parameter statistical measurement uncertainty analyses for maintenance of laboratory accreditation

With the metrology team, helps foster a learning environment that encourages initiative, quality, efficiency, teamwork, and innovation.

Basic Qualifications *Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline or equivalent education/experience. *Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance *Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills *Familiarity with office computer tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint. *Ability to work within and/or lead a team *Flexibility/Adaptability *Ability to multitask
