Lockheed Martin Physical Calibrat Tech, Assoc in Silverdale, Washington

Perform calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment in the laboratory or in-place on physical/mechanical Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) such as, but not limited to: pressure, vacuum, liquid and gas flow, mass, length, optical, temperature, humidity, torque, force, vibration, and tachometry calibrations.

Perform the following duties for the Metrology laboratory and/or in-place functions: Determine range, accuracy and uncertainty requirements of laboratory equipment necessary to perform valid calibrations and/or repairs; inform supervision of any deficiencies in measurement and/or repair capability and recommend necessary changes to meet requirements.

Assist in the generation and proof-testing of new calibration procedures, reviews, and updates of old procedures to reflect new technology and/or equipment improvements.

Assist in the development of uncertainty analysis, reports, and check standards for accreditation in measurement parameters.

Participate in Government and commercial audits, assessments, and round robins such as the MIP (Measurement Inter-comparison Program), MAP (Measurement Audit Program), and accreditation audit programs.

Utilize the equipment management system and laboratory information system in the performance of duties.

Obtain and maintain qualifications and certifications necessary to perform work described above and perform related duties, as required.

Basic Qualifications Technical knowledge in the field of physical sciences equivalent to completion of two years of courses in metrology, or other related subjects, or successful completion of the basic DoD Calibration School, or an Associate of Science degree in engineering technology

Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Must be able to routinely climb stairs and ladders Must be able to lift 45 lbs. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
