Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer in Springfield, Virginia

Perform reviews and inspections of program artifacts/deliverables and associated activities to assure quality requirements processes and standards are met. Analyze measurement data to ensure quantitative measurement effectiveness and to eradicate defects. Plan, manage and perform process and product evaluations (audits) Monitor the product development including requirements allocation, architecture, design, development, integration, test and acceptance of products and solutions. Drive and manage process improvement. Perform appraisals on parts requests to determine inspection methods for parts and subassemblies

Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.). Excellent communication skills Experienced with peer reviews of software, systems or documents Process auditing Process and performance measurement: developing, collecting and analyzing metrics Knowledge of lean six sigma Knowledge of Clearquest, the Inspection Tracking Tool (ITT) or a defect tracking tool Knowledge of software development tools Understanding of external quality standards such as ISO9001/AS9100 Ability to support limited domestic travel

Desired skills Software development experience Software Quality experience Experience with Agile principles Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher Apollo Root Cause Analysis (ARCA) training or equivalent. Knowledge of supplier quality techniques for verifying product entering the supply chain and verifying the subcontractor quality management system Knowledge of basic electrostatic discharge sensitivity (ESDS) protection and equipment calibration Proficient with ISO9001/AS9100. Formal auditor training Formal metrics training Hardware Quality experience
