Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer in Stratford, Connecticut

This Manufacturing Engineering position will report directly to the Core Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The individual will work within the Core group in support of key organization initiative’s and projects such as Training Coordination and Manufacturing Readiness. Position will interface with the Product Centers as well as development programs and Design Engineering. Additional Manufacturing Engineering duties include, but not limited to, the following:

• General process planning for machines parts, assemblies or installations of moderate scope & complexity. • Generating Tool design and tool fabrication orders • Define Inspection methodologies • Demonstrate use of Continuous Improvement (ACE) tools in support of effective root cause and corrective action identification and implementation. • Support Manufacturing Readiness initiatives across key programs. . • Work with the advanced manufacturing team to develop future manufacturing technologies • Candidate to support Manufacturing 4.0/ digital thread initiatives • Other duties as directed by Core Manufacturing Engineering leadership

Basic Qualifications Education/Certificates

A BS Engineering degree w/3+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing or Design Engineering or in a related Operations role.

Desired skills Experience / Qualifications

• Preferred candidate would have 3+ years of rotorcraft manufacturing engineering experience, quality system experience or Operations / program management experience.

• Candidate must be developing strong leadership skills, demonstrate forward thinking and creativity, be a motivated self-starter, and possess basic technical problem-solving ability and solid interpersonal skills.

• Candidate shall be capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a matrix organization.
