Lockheed Martin Material & Process Engr Stf in Stratford, Connecticut

This is a Lead Engineer position requiring Materials and Process Engineering experience to provide support and direction to Design in the production of aerospace components. Experience with engineering materials, manufacturing processes, composite technology, metallurgy, protective finishes and coatings and non-destructive inspection is necessary for this position. In addition, knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and design is required. This engineer will work closely with multi-functional teams, determining and communicating technical material requirements with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality organizations. The role may review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures. Strong communication skills are required

Basic Qualifications BS in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering required. BA/BS degree w/7–10+ years experience MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years experience PhD degree w/2–4+ years experience

Experience to be in aerospace technology in advanced composites and metallic materials, including aerospace steels, aluminum, metals processing, finishing, and welding.
