Lockheed Martin Materials Analyst in Stratford, Connecticut

Sikorsky’s Demand and Asset Planning department is seeking a Requirements Planner to join its Operations Management organization. Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations.  With more than 130 employees, the Operations Management team is responsible for effectively managing and incorporating engineering and  production changes that support the aircraft configuration to ensure an accurate and controlled flow of approved materials in time to meet schedule requirements. In support of this, the candidate selected for this role will be responsible for material planning, asset control, analytics and various small projects. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced customer focused environment and maintain effective oral and written communication with its internal customers to included Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Programs to accurately incorporate engineering changes. The selected candidate should also be team oriented and flexible to work within a changing environment as peak work conditions requires. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure best practice Supply Chain PrinciplesManage material requirements Manage change requests and deadlines Utilizes material planning and configuration applications (SAP, MS Office, Matrix 1)Interfaces with operating and support groups (Purchasing, Finance, Master Scheduling, QA and Program management) to collect and analyze data for preparation of reports

Basic Qualifications Skilled in Microsoft Suite Products to include Excel, Word, and PowerPointAble to perform data analyticsDemonstrates ability to interpret data in purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other material inventory transactions to aid in the development and publishing of reports Demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge of concepts and principals of planning to develop solutions to a variety of problems, particularly with materials delivery Background in Engineering or Business Administration with a focus in Planning
