Lockheed Martin Embedded Software Test Engineer in Sunnyvale, California

The chosen candidate will interface with project leads and System Engineers to develop software for complex satellite test and measurement equipment utilizing COTS and custom software tools. Perform software engineering best practices to include: requirements analysis & documentation, design, code, unit test, integration, and version control. Participate and contribute to technical design reviews and audits of software products. This position requires interaction, planning and coordination with cross-functional development teams, internal and external customers across multiple satellite programs. Infrequent domestic travel may be required to support formal test and delivery.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science or Computer Engineering studies. JAVA, C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or Python programming experience.

Desired skills Experience developing embedded software and/or machine control software via single-board computers or microprocessors. Experience with common automated test and measurement suite of tools such as LabVIEW & TestStand (including FPGA and Real-Time modules). Experience with Linux and common shell scripting languages such as bash. Hardware & software integration leveraging fundamental electrical engineering concepts and tools. Utilization of version control tools such as SVN, Git or Mercurial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
