Lockheed Martin Strategy and Business Development Senior Manager in Sunnyvale, California
Missile Defense Programs Business Development team lead for the Strategic and Missile Defense Line of Business. Responsible for business growth and customer interface for all Missile Defense Programs including Directed Energy systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Kill Vehicle Programs, Targets and Countermeasures, Battle Management, Space Sensor applications, and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Follow-on. Accountable for creating, developing and executing strategies to extend current programs and capture new business. This includes competitive landscape analyses, customer interaction, offer shaping and development of fully compliant, high quality proposals. Also responsible for management of new business resources including research and development, market assist, and bid and proposal funds. Ensure Missile Defense Programs are coordinated and aligned with all Lockheed Martin Business Areas. Additional responsibilities include executive visit and event oversight, trade show management, marketing communication, and supervision of reporting requirements.
This position can be based out of Sunnyvale, Arlington or Huntsville - The preference would be Sunnyvale.
This position requires a Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).
Basic Qualifications • At least 10 years in the aerospace industry or equivalent. • At least 8 years of experience in Business Development or Capture Management with track record of leading large-scale strategic pursuits. • Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets. • Proven ability to develop program growth strategies and strategic plans. • Knowledge of missile defense products and systems. • Understands and has contacts that will assist Lockheed Martin Space further its business relationships with the Missile Defense Agency. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance. • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams. • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
