Lockheed Martin Security Rep Sr in Vandenberg AFB, California
Implement the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the cage codes located at Vandenberg AFB. This person will coordinate with government agencies for interpretations and rulings to ensure compliance with all DOD regulations. Ensure successful inspections/audits of the facility by government agencies. The FSO will supervise and direct all security measures necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the NISPOM and related Federal requirements for classified information.
Should be knowledgeable of COMSEC Requirements. The chosen candidate will assist the CRO (USAF) with biannual audits; review COMSEC binder on biannual basis.
The FSO will conduct investigations and prepare final reports for submittal to the company, USAF, Defense Security Service (DSS) and other agencies as required.
Familiarity of security requirements related to USAF military installations a plus. Should have excellent written, oral presentation and interpersonal skills, to include a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of software applications use.
Additionally as FSO of LMSSC location(s) at or related to Vandenberg AFB this person will be responsible for: • Monitor visit requests; verifying visitor clearances in JPAS and assigning visitor badges. As this position supports many different programs with different requirements for visits, this person will be part of a group to ensure all visit requirements are adhered to at all times. • Serve as the Main contact and approver for the issuance of visitor badges at the Vandenberg Tracking Station for all Alternate Master Control System visitors. • Responsible for the LM Derivative Classification Program, to include providing required training for Derivative Classifiers. • Provide pertinent briefings to employees; provide fingerprint services as a part of clearance processing. • Primary reporter to the SOC, Office of Special Investigations (OSI), Cognizant Security Officer (CSO) and the FBI for Adverse information, Suspicious Contacts, Over Seas Travel and Spills. • Provide security support to on base launches as required, to include partnering with protocol on large amounts of visitors, some foreign. • Provides escort briefings to LM employees prior to foreign visits. • Serves as Liaison between CSO, OSI and the FBI for counterintelligence issues. • Monitors all personnel security actions for LM PLSSS, GFES, GCS and DMSP personnel and LM sub-contractors and provides guidance for clearance submittals to include taking fingerprints and reviewing clearance applications. • Issues and/or controls the following badges: Visitors Badges for the AMCS, Courier Cards, Common Access Cards (CAC), Automated Entry Control Cards (AECC), LM Common badges. • Provides Security Briefings/Debriefings to include the following access briefings: COMSEC, Security New Hire Orientation, Document Marking and Security Refresher Briefings.
Travel may be required. This position will report to the Sunnyvale, CA senior manager. Duties and responsibilities are varied and will require a good working knowledge or background in COMSEC and DOD regulations and may include other Special Access activities. A current DOD Top Secret clearance is ultimately required to be obtained by the successful candidate.
Position is located at the Vandenberg Tracking Station, Vandenberg AFB, CA a short 12 mile drive from the main base.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Prior experience in industrial security. Knowledge of NISPOM; willing to travel; excellent written and oral communication skills; Final Secret clearance and ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret clearance; strong interpersonal skills; good computer skills.
Desired skills Experience with SIMS Database. COMSEC experience. Experience with Document Reviews for accuracy of markings. Prior SAP/SAR or SCI experience. Knowledge and ability to prepare DD Form 254 highly desirable. AIS Knowledge and experience. Received FSO Certification within past 5 years.
