Shipboard Installation Team Lead - Employee will lead overall shipboard installation teams of approximately 5-20 LM technicians (including subcontractors) to perform tasking supporting Shipboard Alterations (SA) and Ordnance Alterations (OA) installations. In addition to leading teams, the employee will also perform as a "individual team member" on an as-required basis. The ability to spend the majority of time in a travel status (both domestic and international); work extended hours (overtime) as-required to meet schedule commitments; and possess a SECRET security clearance are required for this position.

Basic Qualifications Experience with shipboard installations including: - Existing cable rip-out and roll-back [including megger testing & cable/connector inspection]; - Shipboard cabinet (i.e. OA) modifications; - Power cable installation and tie-in to switchboards and load centers; - Data Cable (copper and fiber) installation; - Connector (Power, Data copper, and Data fiber) termination; - New cable connections and existing cable reconnection; - Opening/Closing Multi-Cable Transits (MCTs); - Cable inspection and testing; - Cableway management; - Finalizing installations for space turnover to ship’s force (i.e. cable tagging/banding, final quality assurance inspections and remediation). Ability to create near term efficient employment of staffing resources including replanning when roadblocks are encountered. Ability to read and understand shipboard mechanical and electrical drawings. Ability to work in a team environment with overall LM Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Leads directing top level weekly/near term objectives. Ability to complete certification training and renewals, as required. Knowledgeable in Mechanical and Electrical installation/modification standards and methodology including NAVSEA STD Items.

Desired skills Copper cable termination certifications in accordance with DOD-STD-2003/5. Fiber Optic cable certifications in accordance with MIL-STD-2042 (inspection), MIL-STD-1678-1, MIL-STD-2042, NAVSEA SI , 009-04, and 009-123 (connector fabrication). Cableway inspections in accordance with DOD-STD-2003. OSHA Maritime 10 hr Training Course #7615. Experience with requirements of NAVSEA TS 9090-301 REV G, Shipyard Competent Person (29 CFR 1915, NFPA 306;, ESH 40 CFR Hazardous Waste Management; and ESH 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Transportation.
