Lockheed Martin Aircraft Mechanic II APG - C-130 in Warner Robins, Georgia

The Aircraft Mechanic II Performs installation, adjustment, alignment and troubleshooting for final operational and functional testing on major aircraft weapon systems, assemblies and components for the C-130 aircraft. Performs overhaul and repair of weapon systems, their assemblies and components; such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic and flight control systems. Troubleshoots aircraft systems, components, or subassemblies to make determination on proper operation. Identifies malfunctions and determines corrective action required (whether portions must be repaired or replaced). Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components. Connects related systems to the newly installed or repaired units, and makes adjustments to the units and their related mechanisms to assure their proper operation. Installs, aligns and functionally and operationally tests the various major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification. Performs engine removal and installation, jacking and leveling, alignment and retraction checks, and other related routine tasks. Must be able and willing to work in confined spaces such as fuel tanks.

Basic Qualifications Lockheed Martin is seeking aircraft mechanic IIs who perform periodic, hourly, special, calendar inspections, TCTOs and DEPOT level inspections and repairs. Individual must have a thorough knowledge of C-130 aircraft mechanical components with the ability to troubleshoot, adjust, repair and replace parts/components; requires broad working knowledge of C-130 aircraft systems to include A/R, crew chief, hydraulics and engines. Mechanic must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators, micrometers and support equipment, powered and non-powered. This mechanic must be proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Duties require that this mechanic: Perform DEPOT level mechanical repairs and providing guidance/training on repairs to other employees. Additionally, this individual will also be required to perform other miscellaneous aircraft servicing to include but not limited to: Towing, jacking, leveling, cribbing, engine runs, re/defueling and LOX servicing.
