Business Development Analyst Sr. Staff position within the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors (IWSS) line of business. Primary job focus will be U.S. domestic radar opportunities for new radar development as well as major upgrades to existing radar systems. Key mission areas include Airborne Early Warning. Customer set includes the US Navy and Air Force as well as Industry Partners.

Responsibilities include: • Identification, qualification and capture of various radar opportunities consistent with overall RMS IWSS strategy. • Leading or assisting in the response to customer Requests for Information (RFIs) and formal proposals. • Development and maintenance of productive business relationships with customer organizations (primarily DoD), domestic partner companies and suppliers. • Coordination with Program Management teams to formulate plans for new product offerings to satisfy emerging customer requirements. • Development of budgets and management of new business acquisition expenses. • Serving as the primary contact for customer inquiries, general correspondence, request for data and other business transactions and interface with customers to shape their opportunities, taking into account requirements, existing capabilities and funding availability. • Preparation and presentation of market opportunities and strategy briefings to internal stakeholders. • Coordination with appropriate U.S. Government offices to garner and sustain their support and to ascertain current status of procurement initiatives within the U.S. Government. • Business conduct in strict compliance with all company policies and procedures and within applicable state, federal and international regulations.

This position may be located in Syracuse, NY or Washington, DC. Successful candidate required to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.

Basic Qualifications • Excellent verbal and written communications skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government. • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to understand and interpret customer desires and requirements and relate them back to programmatic requirements. • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support job requirements. • General understanding of DOD budgeting and acquisition processes. • Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena. • Team player – effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objects • Deal closer – highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion • Knowledge of potential customers and demonstrated customer relations skills; ability to influence decision makers • Successful candidate required to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.

Desired skills • Experience in U.S. DOD, and/or major system acquisition processes. • Expertise in Air and Missile Defense or Early Warning mission areas. • Demonstrated leadership role in a major capture effort. • Technical knowledge of, or experience with radar systems. • Post Graduate degree in Business or Engineering
