Lockheed Martin Generation Production Lead in Bethesda, Maryland
Description: This position will support the Iraq F-16 Program and is located at Balad AB Iraq.
DUTIES: Directs the Production section in activities related but not limited to: aircraft pre-flight, launch and recovery, maintenance and repair and general flight-line operations. Performs applicable reviews to determine that aircraft are ready for flight. Uses technical publications, schematics, and specifications as required. Devises modifications and changes to improve the productivity of the work process.
-Possess technical skills and knowledge sufficient to resolve maintenance difficulties and successfully perform troubleshooting to solve problems considered beyond the scope of routine problem solving techniques.
-Keep the Flight line Manager and Site Management team advised on activities, problems and changes
-Maintain accurate files and records as required
-Provide long term direction, oversight, technical assistance and advice for other personnel in a cooperative team effort
-Work with all members of the team to resolve questions, issues and problems
-May be required to carry out other duties as appropriately assigned by Maintenance Manager and Site Management
-Will oversee plans and scheduling section to ensure phase time distribution index, aircraft schedule effectiveness, and health of the fleet
-Must work with flight operations on aircraft availability and flying scheduling
-Advise, Train, and Assist the IqAF with understanding the fundamentals of being a Pro Super and managing flight line operations.
Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. The selected candidate must have a positive review and acceptance by the program and customer senior management teams. Previous experience working with international customers/partners is desired. Will work with all members of the team to resolve customer concerns, questions, and problems.
*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
* SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and must maintain a Secret Security Clearance after.
- F-16 Aircraft Maintenance / Crew Chief or have been previous Pro Super on the F-16
- USAF 5 or 7 level or equivalent
Min 12 years documented experience on the F-16 Aircraft
Aircraft Maintenance 9 level
Previous experience dealing with an international customer
Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P Lic.
Min of 2 years F-16 production experience
A strong understanding of the maintenance process. Has dealt with multiple agencies from Contract Office Representatives [C.O.R], Quality Assurance [Q.A.], Defense Contract Management Agency [D.C.M.A.], Field Support Engineers [F.S.E]
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
