Lockheed Martin OLDP Progect Manager - Operations in Bethesda, Maryland
Description: The OLDP Progect Manager - Operations reports to the Corporate Program Manager for the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) and the Production Operations Leadership Institute (POLI). Candidate will support enterprise wide activities for the OLDP and POLI communities. The individual in this role will support the Corporate Program Manager in day-to-day activities associated with executing the programs, and will focus on planning and executing key projects endorsed by the programs’ leadership teams to refine program strategies, address talent development needs, and increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires close interaction with other LM business areas and functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Manage concurrent projects identified by the Corporate Program Manager. Develop project schedule and budget, and drive projects to completion with deliverable results.
•Performs as back-up to the Program Manager
•Perform as the Corporate OLDP Site Lead. Duties include, mentoring, attending leadership meetings, building relationships with Rotation Managers.
oManage the nomination process, selection process, and transition of participants through corporate rotations, as well as ensuring the availability of rotations on a yearly basis.
•Manage Rotation Database
oManage the development, testing, training, and usage of all systems
•Manages all logistical and execution aspects of leadership conferences
•Prepares the data analysis packages
•Partners with site leads for all site visits and alumni events
•Coordinates all webinars
•Manages all aspects of Recruiting Events ( RRC & On-campus)
oPartners with UTA and supports resume, review and candidates selection
•Assist in the planning and execution of major events and conferences
•Manages internal recruiting
•Manages intern conversion
•Assessment Model Review
•Conducts Assignment Manager Training
•Conducts Site Lead/PM Training
•Coordinates Site Lead Monthly Meetings
•Coordinates Steering Committee Meetings
•Prepares all presentation packages
•Coordinates content for Corporate tools such as the LDP SharePoint, Leadership Program Management System
•Supports Management of the LPMS platforms
•Perform as the program CAM under direction of the Program Manager. Review financial status and offer recommendations to the PM on path forward. Present program financial status at CE Monthly Finance review.
•Facilitate the Lean Production Simulation course
•Facilitate and/or lead meetings that will include cross-corporate representation of various leadership levels.
•Partner with Business Areas and HR, coordinate data gathering and/or support analysis for strategic studies.
•Participate in the development project ideas, training packages, and communications in conjunction with OLDP Participants, Site Leads, Steering Committee Members and Assignment Managers from across the corporation
• Demonstrated facilitation and project management skills
• Experience working within a geographically dispersed team and/or leading teams and/or projects.
• Proficient in working with collaboration tools (SharePoint, Lync, Eureka Streams, etc.)
• Experience managing concurrent projects.
• Process oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Proven experience with budget planning and tracking
• Ability to travel on a frequent basis (estimated 30%)
•Green Belt Certified, Black Belt Certified is preferred
•Experience presenting to mid- and senior management
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to cultivate a network of experts across the Corporation
•Demonstrated business acumen through successful engagements with business area organizations across Lockheed Martin
•Self-starter who works independently and has a strong sense of ownership.
•Multi-functional experience in Operations and Technical domains
•Interest in Operations Research Analysis
•Ability to formulate a big picture perspective across a diverse range of corporate-level interests
•OLDP graduate preferred
