Description: Corporate Strategy & Business Development (CSBD) wants to leverage your market / environmental analysis expertise and strategy development experience to contribute to the shaping of the corporation’s future.

As an individual contributor on the Corporate Strategy team, the selected candidate will support, contribute to, and lead a variety of strategic projects that build upon our strategy themes, enterprise strategy tenets and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Designing and leading market and environmental analysis, and communicating to the organization and functionally diverse teams

Performing customer budget and needs analysis, identification of enterprise opportunities and risks, developing growth strategies, identification and assessing of risks and gaps, and developing resource recommendations

Facilitating project teams to support and lead follow through and implementation of strategic recommendations

Facilitating the development of enterprise perspectives through cross-business area and cross-functional collaboration, and strengthening of strategic partnerships

Presenting findings to the VP, Corporate Strategy, SVP of CSBD or other senior LM executive stakeholders

Supporting M&A and investment activities through market, business case and strategic analysis

Supporting and leading Strategy Operations activities – Coordination of consultant and subscription relationships; supporting and leading projects aimed to facilitate cross-BA and functional awareness of Corporate Strategy initiatives

Lockheed Martin’s Strategic Planning team is driven to achieve. The Strategic Planner will collaborate and partner with a forward-thinking team of professionals. Other responsibilities may be assigned as need to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

Prior Aerospace and Defense (A&D) market and environment analysis experience in a finance, strategy or business development related role

Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin’s business portfolios, customers, competition and markets

Familiarity with customer budget analysis, financial modeling and market analysis methodologies for the purpose of strategy development

Ability to lead cross-functional teams comprised of both corporate, functional and business area staff, and with external consultants, Think Tanks and Industrial Associations

Demonstrated outstanding communication and presentation skills to an executive level audience

Strong Excel skills: data analysis / analytics, trend analysis and forecasting tools, synthetization into information and insights, data representation/graphic development

Exceptional PowerPoint skills, and development of C-suite level briefing materials

Desired Skills:

Ability to be a broad strategic thinker, able to bridge from strategy to actionable objectives, actions, and progress metrics though critical thinking, intelligence and curiosity

Tenacious focus on driving to an answer despite uncertainty

Practical experience working with teams to drive growth

Prior experience supporting enterprise-level strategy development, market/segment focused strategy reviews, or functional strategy development

Practical experience implementing enterprise strategy with teams and programs/opportunities to drive growth

Strong leadership skills of geographical and functional divers teams

Strong verbal and writing communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics in prose for executive level audiences

Familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s enterprise strategy

Advanced level degree

Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance desired but not required
